Arriving at The Hawthorns from City Centre
The best way to reach the stadium from the city centre is using rail or Metro services to The Hawthorns station, leaving a 5-minute walk to the stadium.
The Hawthorns Station is easily accessible from Birmingham’s main rail stations (New Street and Snow Hill).
Arriving at The Hawthorns by Public Transport
National Rail
Birmingham New Street [BHM]
The station is located at New Street, Birmingham B2 4QA
It offers the following services:
- Virgin Trains services to London Euston, Glasgow and Edinburgh
- CrossCountry services to Manchester Piccadilly, Bristol, Nottingham, Leicester, Southampton, Bournemouth, Cardiff, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Leeds
- London Midland services to Liverpool Lime Street, Smethwick Rolfe Street and across the Midlands
Directions to ground: Walk five minutes north to Birmingham Snow Hill (signposted), and take a Midland Metro train to The Hawthorns Station (below). This will take approximately 10 minutes.

The station is located at Rolfe Street, Warley B68 2AF; 15 mins’ walk.
It offers the following services:

Bus
Routes 53, 74 and 75 all connect Birmingham and its surrounding areas with West Bromwich and The Hawthorns, as well as Birmingham New Street and Snow Hill stations.

The stadium is served by the following main roads:
- From North: M5, M6; passing Walsall
- From South: M5; passing Quinton and Oldbury
- From East: A41, M6; from Birmingham or passing Coventry
- From West: M54, A41; passing Telford and Wolverhampton
From City Centre
The Hawthorns is located to the east of West Bromwich town centre. The A41 runs from the middle of West Bromwich to the stadium, passing Sandwell Park Golf Club, and continues on towards Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
Stadium Area
The Hawthorns is located just off Junction 1 of the M5, where it meets the A41. This road runs right past the stadium and on towards Birmingham. Sandwell Recreation Ground and Handsworth Cemetery are just north of the stadium, and there is a McDonald’s opposite the ground.
Parking
It's best to park in the area around Middlemore Road, West Bromwich, for which the postal code is B71 4LS. An alternative to street parking is the private matchday car parks, found near the stadium.
There are also some local industrial units near the ground, or at The Hawthorns Station that double as unofficial car parks on matchdays.
