Goals in each half from Wes Morgan and Jamie Vardy helped Leicester City record a 2-0 win over AFC Bournemouth.

The home side took the lead after 11 minutes. A low Ben Chilwell strike from the edge of the penalty area was diverted in by Wes Morgan, scoring in successive matches.

Vardy missed an excellent chance to make it 2-0 after 35 minutes, dragging his close-range shot wide.

But the Leicester forward extended the home side’s lead with eight minutes remaining, heading in Youri Tielemans’ right-wing cross to secure Leicester’s first Premier League victory over the Cherries.

The win moves Leicester up to eighth on 44 points, while AFC Bournemouth remain 12th with 38 points.
