Man City striker moves clear of Cole and Shearer and makes history with his 35th goal of incredible campaign

Erling Haaland has broken the Premier League record for most goals scored in a single season.

Haaland scored his 35th of a magnificent campaign in Manchester City's 3-0 win over West Ham United, moving clear of Andrew Cole and Alan Shearer, who netted 34 each in 1993/94 and 1994/95 respectively.

Haaland is in a league of his own, though, as his goals have come in only 31 appearances, whereas Cole and Shearer's were in 42-match seasons.
