Full-backs

Ola Aina (Nottingham Forest)
P35 W18 D8 L9 G2 A1 CS11

Aina was arguably one of the Premier League's best attacking full-backs, producing two goals and an assist. The Nigeria international's mix of pace, power and positional intelligence made him a crucial figure in Forest securing European football for the first time since 1995/96.

Rayan Ait-Nouri (Wolverhampton Wanderers)
P37 W11 D6 L20 G4 A7 CS0

Ait-Nouri has taken his game up a notch in what was a rollercoaster season for Wolves. Rock-solid at the back, he has also contributed 11 goal involvements (four goals, seven assists). Ait-Nouri's standout moment was arguably an outstanding display against Tottenham Hotspur in April, where he delivered both a goal and an assist. In a season that got progressively better for Wolves after a disappointing start, Ait-Nouri was a beacon of consistency and quality.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool)
P33 W22 D9 L2 G3 A6 CS4

It came as a shock when Alexander-Arnold announced he would be leaving his boyhood club Liverpool, but what a farewell season he has delivered. Despite missing part of the campaign through injury, the Reds’ homegrown star still managed three goals, including the winner at Leicester City, and six assists. His influence when fit remained undeniable, a true game-changer until the end.

Marc Cucurella (Chelsea)
P36 W20 D8 L8 G5 A1 CS8

Cucurella rediscovered his rhythm this season with Chelsea. The Spaniard played a vital role in Chelsea’s balance, driving forward with relentless energy. His timing in front of goal was impeccable too, often when his team needed it most. He scored five times in the Premier League, making him the joint top-scoring defender with Josko Gvardiol and Nikola Milenkovic, and registered one assist.

Josko Gvardiol (Manchester City)
P37 W21 D8 L8 G5 A0 CS10

The Croatian was a standout player for Man City, in a campaign when Pep Guardiola’s men faced more challenges than usual. Gvardiol was a pillar of stability and a surprise source of goals.

Milos Kerkez (AFC Bournemouth)
P38 W15 D11 L12 G2 A5 CS8

What a season it was for Kerkez, a genuine breakout star. The Hungarian hit the ground running at AFC Bournemouth, showing maturity beyond his years. With two goals and five assists, he was key to Andoni Iraola’s high-octane system and showed he has all the tools of an elite full-back.

Daniel Munoz (Crystal Palace)
P37 W13 D14 L10 G4 A5 CS11

Munoz added fire to Crystal Palace’s right flank. The Colombian’s attacking intent was clear from the get-go, and he scored four goals and assisted five. Oliver Glasner gave him the freedom to express himself, and Munoz delivered with flair and fearlessness.

Antonee Robinson (Fulham)
P36 W14 D9 L13 G0 A10 CS5

The US international created chances with flair in 2024/25, racking up 10 assists - the highest among defenders and more than the tallies achieved by feted attacking players such as Kevin De Bruyne and Cole Palmer. It says everything about Robinson's evolution into one of the most influential full-backs in the Premier League.

Djed Spence (Tottenham Hotspur)
P25 W8 D3 L14 G1 A2 CS2

A rejuvenated Spence became one of the mainstays in a Spurs defence that was decimated by injuries. He grabbed his opportunity with both hands, using his mix of athleticism and skill to stop some of the league's best wingers. Also adept in attack, Spence netted his first-ever Premier League goal to seal a 4-1 win at Ipswich Town and was voted Player of the Match.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (West Ham United)
P36 W11 D9 L16 G2 A5 CS5

Wan-Bissaka was a defensive stalwart for West Ham, remaining near-impossible to beat in a one-on-one situation. But the full-back also improved in his attacking play, registering five assists and scoring twice in an all-round strong season.
