The Premier League has announced the fixture schedule for the 2025/26 season, which kicks off with Liverpool hosting AFC Bournemouth at 20:00 on Friday 15 August, live on Sky Sports.

Following the opening night at Anfield, five more games will be shown live in the UK across the first weekend of the season. Aston Villa will face Newcastle United live on TNT Sports at 12:30 on Saturday 16 August with Sky Sports later that day showing Wolverhampton Wanderers v Manchester City at 17:30.

Sunderland will mark their return to the Premier League by hosting West Ham United at the Stadium of Light on the opening Saturday at 15:00. Fellow promoted side Burnley will visit Tottenham Hotspur, while Nottingham Forest v Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion v Fulham are also played at 15:00.

The first Sunday of the season will see Chelsea host Crystal Palace at 14:00, while Arsenal visit Manchester United at 16:30 - with both matches live on Sky Sports.

Leeds United will host Everton in their first match back in the Premier League, live on Sky Sports on Monday 18 August at 20:00.

In keeping with our commitment to providing a greater rest period over the Christmas and New Year period, no club will be requested to play less than 48 hours between Match Rounds 18 and 19 (December 27 and December 30). Matches in Round 18 (December 27) are available for movement to Boxing Day for live broadcast selection. Each Club has a home match on either 27 December or 3 January, with travel reduced on 27 December and 30 December.

The season will finish on Sunday 24 May 2026, with all matches kicking off simultaneously.

The 2025/26 season marks the beginning of a new four-year UK broadcast rights cycle – with Sky Sports and TNT Sports. For the first time all matches taking place outside of the Saturday 15:00 "closed period" – a minimum of 267 games – will be broadcast live.

The increase in matches broadcast in the UK comes predominately from Sky Sports showing the fixtures displaced to the Sunday 14:00 slot due to clubs’ participation in European competitions the previous week. Sky Sports will show a minimum of 215 matches and TNT Sports will cover 52 matches. The Premier League understands the need to confirm fixture date and times as early as possible. Our fixture announcements will continue to provide around six weeks’ notice ahead of fixtures prior to January, and five weeks thereafter.

Owing to our clubs’ performances in Europe last season, a record nine Premier League teams will play in UEFA competitions in the 2025/26 season. While the Premier League celebrates this success, it will come with an impact on the scheduling of League matches.

There is an increased likelihood of Premier League fixtures moving at relatively short notice, after our fixture announcements, should our clubs progress to the knockout rounds of these competitions. Supporters are asked to consider this when planning for Premier League fixtures, particularly when their club or opposition is playing in the latter stages of UEFA competitions.

The provisional dates for 2025/26 fixture announcements are listed below. The Premier League will continue to communicate any fixture changes at the earliest opportunity throughout the season.
